Target Information

MET (cMET) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase associated with various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET is involved in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron formation, angiogenesis, kidney development) and adult processes (wound healing, organ regeneration, tissue remodeling).
Dysregulation of MET has been linked to cancers including gastric, renal, and breast cancer, making it a valuable target for therapeutic and diagnostic research.
