Product Specific Information

The eB121-15F9 monoclonal antibody reacts with the μ heavy chain of mouse IgM. It does not react with other classes of mouse immunoglobulins (IgD, IgG, IgA). IgM is expressed intracellularly during early B cell development and on the surface of mature B cells in bone marrow and peripheral tissues.
Fluorochrome-conjugated eB121-15F9 can be used as a detection secondary antibody for mouse IgM.

Target Information

Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin M antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the first antibody generated during an immune response and is the largest immunoglobulin in serum. Composed of five heavy and five light chains, IgM is involved in complement activation and antigen agglutination.
It plays a key role in innate immune defense and is widely used in research and diagnostic assays such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
