Target Information
WNT8A is a member of the WNT gene family, encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as cell fate determination and patterning during embryogenesis. Expression studies in the NT2 teratocarcinoma cell line suggest a role in early neuronal differentiation induced by retinoic acid. WNT8A is clustered with WNT3 in the chromosome 17q21 region.
