Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This IgG purified antibody is directed against MBP and is useful for detecting MBP-tagged proteins in various assays. It reacts with all MBP-tagged proteins tested to date and does not cross-react with endogenous bacterial proteins in western blotting.
Target Information
Epitope tagging provides a universal strategy for identifying and purifying recombinant proteins. The Maltose Binding Protein (MBP) tag forms a stable fusion that does not interfere with protein bioactivity or biodistribution. MBP can be cleaved from its partner protein using factor Xa.
