This antibody reacts with the extracellular domain of the human protein kinase EGFR (ErbB1 / HER1), recognizing an epitope within amino acids 6–273.
Recommended dilution: 100 µL of whole blood or 1×10⁶ cells in suspension.

Target Information

EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates signaling in response to various growth factors. Overexpression of EGFR is associated with multiple cancers, including those of the head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, and esophagus.
EGFR is encoded by the EGFR gene on chromosome 7 and belongs to the HER/ErbB family, which includes ERbB2, ERbB3, and ERbB4. Ligand binding (e.g., EGF, TGF-α) to the extracellular domain induces receptor dimerization and subsequent autophosphorylation of cytoplasmic tyrosine residues.
