Description:
The mShad150 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD150, a ~70 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein also known as Signaling Lymphocyte Activation Molecule (SLAM). CD150 is expressed by T cells (especially Th1) and B cells, and its expression is rapidly upregulated upon activation. It is also found on immature thymocytes and dendritic cells.

Signaling through SLAM in T cells induces proliferation and enhances interferon-gamma response. SLAM is also involved in adhesion between T cells and antigen-presenting cells. The mShad150 antibody can stain the CD150⁺CD244⁻CD48⁻CD41⁻ population of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells.

Applications Tested:
Tested on mouse splenocytes for flow cytometry. Recommended use ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration advised.
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD150 (SLAM, Signaling Lymphocyte Activation Molecule):
CD150 belongs to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily and is involved in T cell stimulation. It is constitutively expressed on peripheral blood memory T cells, T cell clones, immature thymocytes, and some B cells. Expression is rapidly induced on naive T cells after activation. Activated B cells express multiple isoforms of SLAM (membrane-bound, soluble, cytoplasmic).

SLAM-SLAM interactions enhance B cell activation and differentiation. CD150 serves as a receptor for the measles virus and acts as a co-activator on T and B cells. It interacts with SH2D1A and PTPN11 via its cytoplasmic domain. Mutations in CD150 may be associated with X-linked lymphoproliferative disease (XLP).
