Target Information
HAP1 (huntingtin-associated protein 1)은 huntingtin 단백질에 결합합니다. Huntingtin은 폴리글루타민 영역을 포함하는 단백질로, 글루타민 반복 수가 35를 초과할 경우 헌팅턴병(Huntington’s disease, HD)을 유발하는 변이 단백질을 생성합니다.
HAP1은 신경세포에서 주로 발현되며, huntingtin과 함께 신경 섬유를 따라 이동합니다. 특히 후각망울과 뇌간에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
마우스 HAP1은 뉴런 내의 큰 엔도솜, 소포 구조 및 출아 소낭과 같은 막 결합 소기관에 위치합니다.
Duo(또는 huntingtin-associated protein interacting protein, HAPIP)는 HAP1과 결합하며, 소포 수송 및 세포골격 기능에 관여할 수 있습니다.
