Target Information
Transforming growth factor beta 3 (TGF-beta 3)는 TGF-beta 1 및 TGF-beta 2를 포함하는 transforming growth factor family의 세 번째 구성원입니다. 이 사이토카인들은 전구체 형태로 분비되며, bioactive C-terminal domain과 latency associated protein (LAP)으로 알려진 N-terminal domain으로 구성됩니다. LAP 절단 후 생성된 성숙 단백질은 이황화 결합된 호모다이머 형태로 작용합니다.
TGF-beta 3는 종 간 높은 보존성을 가지며, 인간과 마우스 간 100% 서열 상동성을 보여 교차 활성을 가집니다. 대부분의 세포 유형에서 발현될 수 있으며, B- 및 T-세포의 효력 억제, 조직 치유 매개, 종양 증식 억제 등 다양한 생리적 기능을 수행합니다. 또한 CD4⁺CD25⁺ T세포의 증식을 촉진하는 기능이 새롭게 밝혀져, 자가면역 억제에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
