Target Information
Histone H3는 모든 진핵세포의 염색질에 존재하는 DNA 결합 단백질 중 하나로, 다른 핵심 히스톤 단백질들과 함께 DNA에 결합하여 뉴클레오솜 구조를 형성합니다. 히스톤은 전사 조절, DNA 복구, 복제, 염색체 안정성 유지에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
히스톤은 다양한 번역 후 변형(post-translational modification)을 통해 크로마틴 구조를 변화시키거나 특정 전사 인자의 결합을 유도합니다. Histone H3의 N-말단 꼬리(N-terminal tail)는 뉴클레오솜 핵으로부터 돌출되어 있으며, 메틸화, 아세틸화, 인산화 등의 변형을 받아 세포 내 과정에 영향을 미칩니다.
