Product Specific Information
Description:
The RPA-2.10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD2, a 50 kDa cell surface receptor expressed by most thymocytes, all mature T cells, and a subset of NK cells. CD2 interacts with CD58 and is involved in T-cell adhesion and activation. RPA-2.10 blocks mixed lymphocyte reaction and cross-reacts with non-human primates and pigs.

Reported for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Filtered through 0.2 µm post-manufacturing.
Target Information
CD2 (LFA-2):
A monomeric surface antigen (45–58 kDa) expressed on nearly all T lymphocytes and some NK cells, but not on B cells. It mediates adhesion via interaction with CD58, stabilizing T cell–APC contact during immune activation. CD2 expression increases upon T-cell activation, enhancing adhesion and signaling. Dysregulation of CD2 is associated with immune deficiencies and certain carcinomas.
