This Mags.21F7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and mouse promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger (PLZF), a transcriptional repressor belonging to the BTB-POZ family.
PLZF is expressed differently in mice and humans:

• Mouse: Immature CD1d-restricted NKT2, NKT1 cells, and subsets of γδ T cells.
• Human: NK cells, γδ T cells, CD4 and CD8+ T cells, MR1-specific MAIT cells, and MHC Class II-restricted T cells.

PLZF functions in NKT cell development, NK cell activity, cellular quiescence, and growth suppression. It inhibits gene expression induced by retinoic acid receptor.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse thymocytes using Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00). Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test. Optimize antibody titration per assay.

• Tandem dye emitting at 713 nm (violet laser, 405 nm excitation).
• Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) when combining multiple polymer dyes.
• Light sensitive: protect from light.
• Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222-49) or Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333-54).
  Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

PLZF gene encodes a Krueppel-type zinc finger transcription factor located in the nucleus, involved in cell cycle progression and histone deacetylase interaction. Aberrant rearrangements are associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Alternate splice variants have been identified.
