This peptide corresponds to a 15 amino acid sequence near the carboxy terminus of human KAT5.
PEP-1591 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34548.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37ºC.
Target Information
TIP60 is a transcription factor originally isolated as an HIV-1 TAT-interactive protein. It interacts with the viral TAT protein, leading to HTATIP polyubiquitination and degradation.
Belonging to the MYST family of histone acetyltransferases (HATs), TIP60 acts as a catalytic subunit of the NuA4 complex, which acetylates histones H4 and H2A to activate transcription.
TIP60 serves as a co-regulator of transcription factors and may either promote or suppress tumorigenesis. It is involved in DNA repair, apoptosis, and signal transduction processes.
