This peptide corresponds to a 16 amino acid sequence near the amino terminus of human TLX1.
PEP-1596 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34553.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.
Target Information
The Hox proteins play a role in embryonic development and cellular differentiation by regulating downstream target genes.
TLX1, also called homeobox11 (HOX11), is a DNA-binding nuclear transcription factor located outside of the four mammalian Hox clusters.
TLX1 encodes a homeobox-domain containing protein with a glycine- and proline-rich amino terminus and is required for spleen development and cell survival.
It is highly expressed in T-cell leukemia and lymphoid neoplasias due to translocation. TLX1-deficient mice lack a spleen.
