Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The specific antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
The alpha chain gene contains five exons:

1. Exon 1 encodes the leader peptide
2. Exons 2 and 3 encode extracellular domains
3. Exon 4 encodes the transmembrane domain and cytoplasmic tail

DRA lacks polymorphisms in the peptide-binding region and serves as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5.
The beta chain carries polymorphisms determining peptide-binding specificity.
HLA-DR is primarily expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
