Product Specific Information

The 6H6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD123, the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor. This 60–70 kDa transmembrane protein binds IL-3 with low affinity alone and with high affinity when associated with CD131 (common beta chain). CD123 is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, and megakaryocytes.

• Recommended cell range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright™, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information

IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha) belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. It forms a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit to transmit IL-3 signals. IL-3Ra is overexpressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared with normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential therapeutic target.
