Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes that regulates lipid and glucose metabolism. It plays roles in homeostasis and obesity. Decreased adiponectin levels are associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and hyperinsulinemia (type 2 diabetes).
In mice, adiponectin improves insulin signaling, reducing insulin resistance. Through activation of AMP kinase and PPAR-alpha, adiponectin increases fatty acid transport, oxidation, and dissipation in skeletal muscle, reducing intramyocellular lipid levels and improving insulin signaling.
