Product Specific Information
The eBio5E10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–35 kD receptor expressed on thymocytes, CD34+ prothymocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, and subsets of fetal liver, cord blood, and bone marrow cells.
CD90+CD34+ cells are enriched for long-term culture capability and play roles in T-cell adhesion and signal transduction.

Target Information
CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts. CD90 participates in cell-cell interactions during synaptogenesis and serves as a marker for stem cells and neuronal axons.
Structural studies of CD90 contributed to defining the Immunoglobulin superfamily and the first characterization of a vertebrate GPI anchor.
Dysfunction of CD90 is associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
