Target Information

PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1, PDCD1) is a receptor expressed on activated T cells. It mediates inhibitory signals upon binding its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, helping regulate immune responses.
In the absence of danger signals, PD-1 signaling suppresses T-cell activation. PD-1 knockout mice exhibit hyperactive immune systems and autoimmune conditions.
Although PD-1 has a predicted molecular weight, it often migrates at a higher molecular weight in SDS-PAGE.
