Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MCP-3 (CCL7). The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of hMCP-3 using sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use at 0.25–1.0 µg/mL. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human MCP-3 (500-P37G) as capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hMCP-3.

Western Blot:
For detection by Western blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. In conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human MCP-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This is a secreted chemokine which attracts macrophages during inflammation and metastasis. It belongs to the C-C subfamily of chemokines characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues. The protein is an in vivo substrate of matrix metalloproteinase 2, an enzyme that degrades components of the extracellular matrix.
