Product Specific Information

Description:
Monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended at ≤1 µg/test.
One test corresponds to the amount of antibody staining a 100 µL sample (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Optimal titration is recommended for best performance.

Light Sensitivity:
PE-Cyanine7 is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light during storage and staining.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on fluorescence.

Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation; 775 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies produced by rats.
Commonly used as a negative control in immunoassays, it shows minimal binding to mammalian antigens.
Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting.
It is also used in gene targeting studies to explore gene function and disease mechanisms.
