Target Information
p47phox (NCF1) is required, along with NCF2 and membrane-bound cytochrome b558, for activation of the latent NADPH oxidase. This enzyme complex generates superoxide anions upon activation. Mutations in the NCF1 gene can cause granulomatous disease.
