Product Specific Information

Target Information
BRAF is a key component in mitogenic signal transduction from the cell membrane to the nucleus. It is activated by somatic point mutations in human cancers and contributes to postsynaptic responses in hippocampal neurons. BRAF regulates the MAP kinase/ERK signaling pathway, influencing cell division, differentiation, and secretion. Mutations in BRAF are associated with various cancers including:
- Non-Hodgkin lymphoma
- Colorectal cancer
- Malignant melanoma
- Thyroid carcinoma
- Non-small cell lung carcinoma
- Lung adenocarcinoma
A pseudogene located on chromosome X has been identified for BRAF.
