Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, contains six EGF-like domains and an N-terminal lectin-like domain.
It accelerates activation of protein C, contributing to thrombo-resistance and reduced clot formation on endothelial surfaces.
Immunohistochemical staining for TM is useful in studying vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
