Product Specific Information
- Tested in direct ELISA (Use antibody at 2–4 µg/mL for coating).
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, contains six repeated domains homologous with epidermal growth factor (EGF) and an amino-terminal domain homologous to lectin-like protein.
TM accelerates activation of protein C, playing a critical role in maintaining thrombo-resistance and reducing clot formation on endothelial surfaces.
Immunohistochemical staining for TM is useful in studying various vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
