Product Specific Information
A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77784 was sufficient for detection of VMP1 in 15 µg of Human 293T cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 46 kDa.
Target Information
VMP1 is a stress-induced transmembrane protein that promotes formation of intracellular vacuoles and may be involved in cytoplasmic vacuolization during early acute pancreatitis. It co-localizes with LC3, a marker of autophagosomes, and interacts with beclin-1 through the VMP1-Atg domain, which is essential for autophagosome formation.
