This antibody detects endogenous levels of MEF2A only when phosphorylated at Ser479.
Target Information
Proteins of the structural maintenance of chromosomes (SMC) family play critical roles in chromosome structural changes. SMC proteins are involved in proper condensation and segregation of mitotic chromosomes. Four human SMC proteins form two distinct heterodimeric complexes:
- hCAP-C/hCAP-E complex
- hSMC1/hSMC3 complex
These complexes are essential for chromosome organization and segregation.
