Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Ganglioside GD3 synthase induces cell differentiation with neurite sprouting in Neuro2a cells. After differentiation, expression of several genes, including Gdap1, is upregulated.
A similar gene exists in humans, and mutations in this gene are linked to Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 4A disease.
The encoded protein shows sequence similarity to human GDAP1, and multiple transcript variants (coding and noncoding) have been identified.
