GPCR GPR43, also known as free fatty acid receptor 2 (FFAR2), belongs to the carboxylic acid subfamily.
Its expression is primarily observed in immune cells such as monocytes and neutrophils.
An expressed sequence tag (EST) has been isolated from a human pancreatic library.
