Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
MBL2 is a calcium-dependent lectin involved in innate immune defense. It binds mannose, fucose, and N-acetylglucosamine on various microorganisms, activating the lectin complement pathway.
Additionally, MBL2 binds to late apoptotic and necrotic cells, facilitating their clearance by macrophages, but not to early apoptotic cells. It may also bind DNA.
