Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-κB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and is located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, this protein belongs to the Rel family and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits. Activation occurs via phosphorylation of IKK following TNF-α receptor binding, leading to IκB degradation and nuclear translocation of NF-κB. NF-κB p65 plays a critical role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
