Target Information
Caspase 7는 cysteine protease 계열의 일원으로, apoptotic 및 inflammatory caspase 하위군으로 구분됩니다. Apoptotic caspase는 세포 사멸과 관련되며, Caspase 7은 initiator caspase에 의해 활성화되어 세포 내 기질 절단을 유도하는 executioner caspase로 작용합니다. Caspase 7은 Caspase 1, 3 및 C. elegans의 CED-3 단백질과의 상동성으로 확인되었습니다. mRNA의 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 세 가지 서로 다른 isoform이 생성되며, XIAP 발현에 의해 Caspase 7 활성은 직접 억제될 수 있습니다. CASP7 관련 질환으로는 Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus 17 및 Aleutian Mink Disease가 있습니다.
