Target Information
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP)는 특정 염증성 질환 과정의 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, intestinal, placental, placental-like, liver/bone/kidney 등 네 가지 형태의 alkaline phosphatase가 존재합니다.
PLAP는 임신 3기 동안 태반에서 발현되는 막 결합형 isoenzyme(Regan 및 Nagao type)과 반응합니다.
PLAP는 고환 생식세포 종양의 식별에 유용하며, PLAP-양성 체세포 종양은 epithelial membrane antigen (EMA)을 균일하게 발현합니다.
PLAP의 기능은 matrix mineralization으로 제안되었으나, 해당 효소가 결핍된 생쥐에서도 정상적인 골격 발달이 관찰됩니다.
PLAP는 hypophosphatasia(고칼슘혈증 및 골격 결함을 특징으로 하는 질환)와 직접적으로 연관되어 있으며, 돌연변이에 따라 발병 시기와 증상의 정도가 달라질 수 있습니다.
