Product Specific Information
Reconstitution:
Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/mL or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a broadly distributed cell surface glycoprotein that interacts with a receptor on myeloid cells (CD200R), implicated in locally preventing macrophage activation. Homologues of CD200 have been identified in many herpesviruses and poxviruses. Studies in mouse and rat suggest CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and delivers inhibitory signals for macrophage lineage in diverse tissues. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encode different isoforms of CD200. Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
