Cross-reactivity is expected with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen.
This antibody does not react with the ERK1 isoform.
Target Information
MAPK1 (ERK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that acts as an important activator of p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and is involved in the MAPK pathway.
MAP kinases (ERKs) integrate multiple biochemical signals and regulate cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription, and development.
Activation requires phosphorylation by upstream kinases, after which ERK2 translocates to the nucleus to phosphorylate nuclear targets.
