• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

Target Information

Immunoglobulin classes share a basic structure of two heavy chains and two light chains (kappa, lambda; both ~22.5 kDa).
Kappa and lambda chains consist of variable and constant regions, differentiated by the antigenic properties of the constant region.
The kappa to lambda ratio is typically 70:30.
Antibodies to the kappa light chain are useful for identifying leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas.
Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates malignancy.
