Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- Superior specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to large rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
The NFκB transcription factor was first identified as a protein complex consisting of a DNA-binding subunit and an associated protein. The DNA-binding subunit is related to c-Rel p75 and RelB p68.
The p50 subunit originates from a precursor, p105, while p52 (previously p49) acts as an alternative NFκB subunit. RelB itself does not bind strongly to NFκB sites, but RelB/p50 heterodimers bind with comparable affinity to p50 homodimers. Unlike typical NFκB heterodimers, RelB/p50 heterodimers can transactivate transcription of promoters containing κB binding sites.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
