Target Information
Hepatitis B virus(HBV)는 급성 및 만성 간 질환의 주요 원인으로, 가장 흔한 혈행성 전염성 간염 형태입니다. HBV 표면 단백질 항원(HBsAg)은 LHBs(large), MHBs(middle), SHBs(small, major) 3가지 단백질로 구성되어 있으며, LHBs와 MHBs는 반복적이고 소수성인 S 도메인을 공유합니다. MHBs는 추가적으로 55개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 preS2 영역을 포함합니다. 전 세계적으로 약 3억 5천만 명이 감염되어 있으며, 예방접종은 약 30개국에서 어린이에게 제공되고 있습니다. HBV는 Hepadnaviridae과에 속하며, 감염이 지속될 경우 간세포암으로 발전할 수 있습니다. 현재 약 4억 명의 HBV 보균자가 존재합니다.
