Target Information
Hepatitis B virus (HBV)는 급성 및 만성 간질환의 주요 원인으로, 혈액을 통해 전파되는 가장 흔한 형태의 바이러스성 간염입니다.
HBV의 표면 항원(HBsAg)은 large (LHBs), middle (MHBs), small (SHBs, major) 단백질로 구성되며, LHBs와 MHBs는 막관통 S domain을 공유합니다.
MHBs는 추가로 preS2 영역(55 아미노산)을 포함합니다.
전 세계적으로 약 3억 5천만 명이 HBV에 감염되어 있으며, 예방접종은 30여 개국에서 모든 아동에게 권장됩니다.
HBV는 Hepadnaviridae 계통에 속하며, 일부 감염자는 바이러스가 제거되지 않아 간세포암으로 진행될 수 있습니다.
현재 약 4억 명의 HBV 보유자가 존재합니다.
