A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45089 was sufficient for detection of HSP90α in 10 µg of HeLa lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects 90 kDa. Does not detect HSP90β.
Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are expressed in response to biological stress, including heat. HSP90 is a 90 kDa protein induced under stress conditions and is one of the most abundant cellular proteins under non-stress conditions.
HSP90 interacts with various intracellular proteins such as steroid receptors, actin, tubulin, and kinases. It is suggested that HSP90 helps maintain structural integrity of steroid receptors for ligand binding during activation.
