For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD44 is a 100 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on human leukocytes, brain white matter, and epithelial cells of the intestine and breast. It serves as a receptor for hyaluronic acid (HA) and plays roles in cell-cell interactions, adhesion, and migration.
CD44 contributes to lymphocyte activation, recirculation, and homing. Expression may increase in certain carcinomas, potentially linked to metastasis.
It is expressed by hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, epithelial tissues, and filopodia in cultured keratinocytes.
Alternative splicing of CD44 transcripts results in multiple isoforms with distinct functions.
Diseases associated with CD44 dysfunction include superficial keratitis and lichen sclerosus, and CD44 may also be involved in tumor metastasis formation.
