For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve approximately 1 mg/mL antibody concentration.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD44 is a 100 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on human leukocytes, brain white matter, and various epithelial cells. It serves as a receptor for hyaluronic acid (HA) and plays roles in cell adhesion, migration, and lymphocyte activation.
Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, contributing to structural and functional diversity. CD44 expression is upregulated in certain carcinomas and may be linked to metastatic potential.
Diseases associated with CD44 dysfunction include superficial keratitis and lichen sclerosus. CD44 is also implicated in tumor metastasis formation.
