Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
- The antigen is homologous in rat, mouse, and monkey.
- Specificity: Cofilin-1. Recognizes both phosphorylated and unphosphorylated forms.
Target Information
Cofilin binds to F-actin and exhibits pH-sensitive F-actin depolymerizing activity, regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics. It is essential for normal mitosis and cytokinesis, and plays a key role in cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization.
Cofilin is required for the up-regulation of atypical chemokine receptor ACKR2 from endosomal compartments to the cell membrane, enhancing chemokine uptake and degradation. It also contributes to neural tube morphogenesis and neural crest cell migration.
