Target Information
HUNK serine/threonine kinase, also known as hormonally up-regulated Neu-associated kinase, is part of the MAP kinase family and plays a key role in mammary tumor metastasis.
HUNK deletion in mice does not affect viability, fertility, or development. It participates in vesicular transport and regulates endocytosis via interaction with rabaptin-5 protein.
HUNK expression is observed in mouse brain, breast, embryo, and fetus, and ESTs have been found in several human tissue libraries, including normal ear.
