Product Specific Information
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA)는 전립선 세포에서 생성되는 단백질로, 전립선암, 양성 전립선 비대증, 또는 감염 시 혈중 농도가 증가합니다. PSA는 free PSA와 total PSA 두 형태로 존재하며, free PSA는 양성 비대증에서 더 많이 증가하고 total PSA는 암과 관련되어 있습니다.
이 항체는 free PSA 단백질(인간 정액에서 정제, Swiss-Prot: P07288)을 면역원으로 사용하여 SP2/0-Ag14 마이엘로마와 마우스 B-림프구를 융합해 얻은 hybridoma로부터 생산되었습니다.
Target Information
PSA는 전립선 상피에서 생성되는 chymotrypsin-like serine protease(kallikrein family)에 속하며, 정액에 풍부하게 존재합니다. PSA는 주로 간에서 유래한 serine protease inhibitor인 alpha-1-antichymotrypsin(ACT)과 복합체를 형성합니다. 전립선암에서는 ACT와 결합된 PSA의 비율이 양성 비대증보다 높습니다.
PSA는 전립선 유래 세포의 확인 및 비전립선성 암과의 감별에 사용됩니다.
