Product Specific Information
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA)는 전립선 세포에서 생성되는 단백질로, 전립선암, 양성 전립선 비대증, 또는 전립선 염증 시 혈중 농도가 증가합니다. PSA는 free PSA와 total PSA 두 형태로 존재하며, free PSA는 양성 비대증에서, total PSA는 암과 관련이 있습니다. 전립선암 발생 시 PSA 농도는 일반적으로 2.5–10 ng/mL 범위에 해당합니다. Free PSA와 total PSA를 동시에 측정하여 전립선 질환의 종류를 구분할 수 있습니다.
이 항체는 free PSA 단백질(human seminal fluid, Swiss-Prot: P07288)로 면역한 마우스에서 얻은 hybridoma로부터 생산된 monoclonal antibody입니다.
Target Information
PSA는 전립선 상피세포에서 생성되는 chymotrypsin-like serine protease(kallikrein family)로, 정액 내에 풍부하게 존재합니다. PSA는 전립선암 환자의 혈청에서 검출되며, 주로 간 유래 serine protease inhibitor인 alpha-1-antichymotrypsin(ACT)과 복합체를 형성합니다. 전립선암에서는 ACT와 결합된 PSA 비율이 양성 비대증보다 높습니다. PSA는 전립선 기원의 종양을 확인하거나 비전립선성 암을 감별하는 데 사용됩니다.
