Target Information
The COPS3 gene encodes a protein with kinase activity that phosphorylates regulators involved in signal transduction, including I kappa-Balpha, p105, and c-Jun.
It serves as a docking site for complex-mediated phosphorylation and is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17.
