DECR1은 β-산화 과정의 보조 효소로, 짝수 및 홀수 위치에 이중 결합을 가진 불포화 지방산 enoyl-CoA 에스터의 대사에 관여합니다.
이 효소는 NADP 의존적 환원 반응을 통해 2,4-dienoyl-CoA를 trans-3-enoyl-CoA로 전환합니다.
