Product Specific Information
This hamster IgG fraction was purified by affinity chromatography from normal Golden Syrian hamster serum.
This isotype control antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use isotype control at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
PE-eFluor® 610 can be excited with laser lines from 488–561 nm and emits at 607 nm.
Recommended filter: 610/20 band pass filter (equivalent to PE-Texas Red®).
Ensure the instrument can detect this fluorochrome.
- Light sensitivity: Tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect vial and samples from light.
- Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information
Isotype controls help distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal.
They have no relevant antigen specificity and are used as negative controls in flow cytometry and other applications such as ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shifts.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody, and if directly labeled, should use the same fluorophore for accurate comparison.
