Target Information
Cyclin T1은 cyclin C 하위 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, cyclin-dependent kinase 9와 결합하여 positive transcription elongation factor b (p-TEFb)의 주요 구성요소를 형성합니다.
이 복합체는 HIV-1 Tat 단백질의 전사 활성화에 필수적이며, RNA polymerase II의 carboxy-terminal domain 인산화를 통해 전사 신장을 조절합니다.
Cyclin T1의 과발현은 종양 성장과 관련이 있으며, 대체 스플라이싱으로 다양한 전사 변이체가 존재합니다.
