이 항체는 CD71 항원(Transferrin Receptor)의 세포외 에피토프를 인식합니다. CD71은 95 kDa의 type II homodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein으로, 활성화된 B 및 T 림프구, 대식세포, 적혈구 전구세포에서 발현되며, 휴지기 백혈구에서는 소실됩니다.
MEM-75 항체는 transferrin이 수용체에 결합하는 것을 차단하지 않습니다.
Target Information
Transferrin receptor는 철의 세포 내 흡수를 매개하는 수용체로, transferrin과의 결합 후 endocytosis를 통해 철을 방출합니다. 철이 방출된 후 apotransferrin-receptor 복합체는 세포 표면으로 재순환되며, 중성 pH에서 결합력이 감소합니다.
이 수용체는 적혈구 및 신경계 발달에 필수적이며, 혈청 transferrin receptor(sTfR)는 EPO 남용 탐지 및 다양한 빈혈 진단에 활용됩니다.
